Online training courses available for non-credit.

University of Phoenix offers a wealth of training courses you can take to upgrade job skills or explore new areas of knowledge. While these courses do not apply to a particular degree, they can significantly enhance your professional expertise and further your own education.

Earn Continuing Education credit online.

We offer a variety of training courses online that may qualify you to earn continuing education units (CEUs) in your profession. These courses are designed to upgrade your skill sets and keep you abreast of the latest trends and techniques in your field.

How it works.

With our asynchronous format, students participate at the times that fit their schedule. They download course materials, review them off-line, then interact with the instructor and classmates through e-mails and newsgroups. They also collaborate in small groups to complete projects that apply to their job or company. Students have access to relevant Web sites, multimedia presentations and the University of Phoenix Library. Throughout the training, the instructor provides feedback and guidance.

Except where noted, we offer a series of three courses in each professional area that round out your learning and skill acquisition. Each course lasts three weeks, and requires approximately five hours of study per week. Students must log on at least twice a day for five days, but they can participate whenever they want, day or night.

Cost of courses.

Tuition for each course is $400 per person. A minimum of 8 participants is required.

These project management training courses provide an overview of the typical project life cycle, its phases, functions and terminology. Clear, concise writing can make every manager in your company more organized, persuasive and effective. This online business writing course will empower your staff to improve everything they write – memos, letters, e-mails, reports, speeches, plans, and other business papers. Participants will learn to write with clarity, precision and the forceof logic. They will learn to organize their thoughts, target their audience, and choose an appropriate format to deliver a message with maximum impact. Using hands-on practice sessions, participants will develop a writing style that’s vigorous, direct and personal. They will also learn to avoid redundancy, inconsistency and confusion in everything they write. Throughout the course, the basics of grammar, punctuation and syntax will be reviewed.
